Mission Pharmacal buys Ferndale Eletone cream

PBR Staff Writer Published 06 February 2012

Mission Pharmacal has acquired the prescription barrier cream Eletone Cream, from US-based Ferndale Healthcare.

The US Food and Drug Administration approved Eletone Cream is a non-steroidal, barrier cream for the long term treatment of atopic dermatitis, an inflammatory, chronically relapsing, non-contagious and pruritic or itchy skin disorder.

Mission Pharmacal Commercial Operations president Terry Herring said the company's recent advancements in dermatology and pediatrics provide a perfect platform for the promotion of Eletone Cream.

"Our intention is to use the Mission dermatology sales team to support this and other dermatology focused products over time," Herring added.

Mission Pharmacal is a privately held pharmaceutical company that provides physicians and consumers with the highest quality pharmaceutical and dietary supplement products.
