PBR Staff Writer Published 19 June 2012

Procter & Gamble has unveiled new non-habit forming, over-the-counter sleep-aid, ZzzQuil, which provides relief for occasional sleeplessness.

ZzzQuil, which comes in both liquid (Warming berry-flavour) and a LiquiCap forms, helps relieve occasional sleeplessness through its single active ingredient, diphenhydramine HCI.

North America Vicks marketing director Dave Tomasi said ZzzQuil not only helps reduce the time it takes for a person to fall asleep, but allows them to sleep soundly so they can wake up rested and refreshed.

"It is a sleep-only solution that delivers effective relief to consumers suffering from occasional sleeplessness," Tomasi added.

The product is intended for adults and children 12 years of age and older.

ZzzQuil is a non-habit forming and safe and effective when used as per package directions, according to the company.
